Classy Cooper

Cooper came into our lives on November 1, 2011. He is now 8 months old. He is a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde…one minute purring and another minute biting. I never know what to expect. He is a ragdoll cat, which I thought from kitten-hood to adult-hood meant an easy to handle cuddle cat.  He has become a real challenge for me.

Cooper or Ragdoll cat

Cooper loves to lay on my velvet robe! He thinks it is his.

Only time will tell if this young man-cat will mellow. I hope so. At this point I think it is terrible to keep him as an indoor cat, as I was instructed because he is too intelligent, too bored in our small place with just old mom and pop, and loves to hunt. He is really growing weary of ‘da bird.” I have run out of interesting flights and hide and seek games for him.

In the meantime, I will be grateful for the easy times – when he purrs and enjoys my company, and other times pray for patience!

A Shift in My Universe Happened in Lexus

A  Shift in My Universe Happened in Lexus:

I was shopping in PetSmart, which I seem to do way too much since the adoption of our kitty 3 months ago. I felt I needed to hurry as my errands had already taken way too much of my day. I paid the cashier and scurried out the door to my car, clicking my remote key to unlock the door. Jumping in the Lexus (blue 350 RX) I felt a strange shift in my world! There was a $1 bill in the cup holder where my water typically was and a CD storage pack on the floor…as well as the steering wheel was a different color! Something was just wrong! I jumped out of the car and ran around to the back to see my license plate – WRONG number! How utterly bazaar! Then I say another light blue Lexus two parking spots down. Mine! Imagine I was sitting in someone else’s car!

My Blue Lexus 350 RX - And a Shift in My Universe

Later I had a great idea. I could have moved my car in front of theirs, left the door unlocked, then let them hop in and do the same thing in my car – but I could use my iPhone video and record their reactions. Why didn’t I think of that sooner?

I love this quote! What about Mindfulness?

“We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.” — Anais Nin So true! Think about it…just a moment IF you haven’t before. So many of our own life experiences make up who we are and what we see thorough (whether “rose colored” or not) our eyes or senses will totally create [...]

Grimice?

Blue Bird Grimice Photo

I just couldn’t do it…I just couldn’t post a  gratitude every single day. Why not?! Look around. Plenty to be grateful for… really! But is that who I am? Every day a positive posting?! Well I will do the best I can. Some days it is just too foggy through my eyes to see all [...]

Purple Iris

Walking along – and I have been doing more walking then ever lately! – I came across a few purple iris’. I have this wonderful new camera, which I am tinkering with and doing my best to learn the many settings…and this is my result: One reason I am walking more is because I broke [...]

#5 Oh What a Happy Young Buck

Buck-150x

What a joy it was to take a walk in local the park and come across two young bucks busy eating leaves on the trees. They were so secure in themselves they didn’t even bother with me while I was photographing…and I was pretty close too! Isn’t he a beautiful boy! I am grateful for [...]
